Here's why it's a mixed review

The friendly desk staff made check-in easy , and I loved the variety at breakfast with different choices each day.

The location is convenient , but the parking wasn't the best experience with limited front spots available.

I love that the breakfast buffet had freshly cooked food and fresh fruit. Everything was great. I also loved the staff very helpful and courteous.I Have been to this hotel a few years back and remembered it was great I will be coming to St.John in the future and definitely will be booking with you.

The bathroom toilet didn't flush with out being held done while it filled. Other than that it was exceptional.

The morning meal was free with real orange juice, fresh pancakes and many options to choose from. The hotel had a central position not far from downtown, the bay and the ferry dock. We were there for 1 night and felt would stay here again.

Didn't like the area, it was not that good.

Charming stay near the harbor

The staff provided excellent service, always willing to assist. The room was clean, spacious, and had comfy beds.

The breakfast selection felt a bit limited compared to typical offerings, and we had some minor noise disturbances from nearby rooms, but it didn't overshadow our stay.

The holiday inn express was a great spot for our family. The staff was super friendly and helped us with our key card issues promptly. Our room with two queen beds was spacious and clean. We also loved the large indoor heated swimming pool, a hit with the kids! It's very close to downtown attractions too.

The location. Itwas hard to find. A map sent with the reservation would be helpful to someone driving from out of province

Attractive property, impeccably clean, great service and excellent value. New-fashioned and updated hotel unit with a great view.

The indoor heated pool was a total hit with the kids, and the spacious rooms. Plus, the amazing view of the harbor was a bonus.

The hotel location was for most direct reason for me booking at the Holiday Inn. I was on a business trip and the hotel provided everything I required. The breakfast room and the meal provided was excellent. The room service was very good and the appearance of the room above average.

However one item was lacking. Almost all business staff require two or more electrical outlets. I don't like to crawl under the desk to plug in my computer or require I sacrifice my desk lamp to plug in my printer. Lastly I don't like to sit on the desk chair or lay on the bed to watch tv.

The location was good. The staff was helpful in giving us directions to where to eat.. We were going on to Nova Scotia the next day to visit friends so the location was perfect for getting the ferry.

Because of the remodeling, it was a little difficult getting around.

The area feels sketchy, and the unattractive parking lot is uninviting!!! Limited main parking area is inconvenient, forcing guests to park in back lots that lack security!!! My IHG membership should offer better upgrades and discounts!!!

Reception staff was excellent. Used transport chair and we were able to take it to room for night as it was not needed for others. Made going to breakfast next morning and departure very easy.

"Best- online- rate" was $10.00 more than price quoted to a couple arriving "off -the-street"
